The Corridor Project Residency Painting Award

In partnership with the Paddington Art Award one selected Finalist will be awarded a two week live-in residency in 2027 at The Corridor Project, located in the Central West NSW on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people; In addition, a $2000.00 cash prize will support travel, per diems, and material expenses including a visit by curator Lucy Stranger.

The Corridor Spring Concerts will take place in our 100 year old woolshed on Wiradjuri Country. The Corridor Project is an established arts and cultural organisation with patrons Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton.

From September to November The Corridor Project will host six concerts, with an extraordinary lineup of Australian musicians including Gordi, the Stiff Gins, The Vampires, Holly Throsby, Frank Yamma and David Bridie. The series also includes performances from local artists Javier and the Wave, Lueth Ajak, Lusi Austin, Nerida, Smith & Jones, Kent Eastwood and Great Aunt. FIND OUT MORE HERE

6 February to 8 March 2026

An exhibition of eight celebrated Australian artists, who examined their response to the atmosphere of place. Developed following a 2025 residency at The Corridor Project on Wiradjuri Country, the exhibition arises from direct, embodied experience: tracing geology, weather, memory and cultural histories through abstraction and material experimentation. Landscape functions not as motif but as generative methodology, informing gesture, surface and structure. Collectively, these works advance the discourse of Australian landscape painting through engaged, site-responsive practice.

Artists included David Collins, Elisabeth Cummings, Kate Dorrough, Charmaine Pike, Sally Stokes, Belinda Street, Leah Thiessen and Ana Young.

It is presented in partnership by Cowra Regional Art Gallery and The Corridor Project.

Cowra Hospital Art Commissions

In partnership with NSW Health Infrastructure and the Western NSW Local Health District, artists in our community have been selected and created new works for the new Cowra Hospital. This initiative was a curated art program with NSW Health, Arts OutWest, Cowra Regional Art Gallery and The Corridor Project, designed to create calming and healing spaces for staff, patients, and their families. The Corridor Project convenes The Central West Science Hub each year we hold an event for National Science Week called ERTHWRX. The program is designed as a multi-day community event, involving panel-talks, exhibitions, presentations, performances, installations and workshops. Past ERTHWRX events were presented during August 2024 and August 2025. The focus leans into ‘environmentalism’ delivered through the nexus of science, arts, culture, social, historical, geo-political and activist discourse.
